Proxy-Cheap review (2026): low prices, too many unknowns
Proxy-Cheap’s headline rates rival the cheapest providers here. Unclear discount terms, no recent independent test and a pattern of user complaints make it the riskiest buy in this guide.
On its rotating residential page, Proxy-Cheap shows $1.50 per GB from 3 GB, $1.20 from 4 GB and $0.78 from 51 GB, each presented as a discount from $2.991. At 51 GB and up, that undercuts Evomi’s pay-as-you-go2.
We still don’t recommend it for anything that matters. We couldn’t confirm how long those discounts last, what targeting you get, whether traffic expires or how long sessions can be held, and there is no current independent test of the network. The user reviews that do exist describe exactly the problems a low price can hide.
Our verdict
Cheap on the label. Too many unknowns to recommend over Evomi or PacketStream.

| 4 GB+ | from $4.80 | $1.20 | |

- Rates shown
- $1.50/GB at 3 GB+, $1.20 at 4 GB+, $0.78 at 51 GB+, presented as discounts from $2.991
- Minimum
- 1–3 GB; sources conflict
- Refund
- 3 days for time-limited plans; nothing if required KYC fails1
- Expiry
- Not confirmed
The rate ladder is attractive on paper, and buying up can pay: 50 GB at $1.20 is $60, while 51 GB at $0.78 is $39.78. But each rate is shown as a reduction from $2.99/GB, and the page doesn’t make clear whether that is a permanent price, a promotion or an introductory offer1. Sources also disagree on the minimum purchase, which is somewhere between 1 and 3 GB.
The refund terms are the sharper problem. Time-limited plans can be refunded within three days, but if Proxy-Cheap asks you to pass KYC and you fail, you get nothing back1. Several Trustpilot reviewers describe KYC demands arriving after purchase3 — which, combined with that rule, can leave you with neither the proxies nor the money.
Targeting, protocols and sessions
- Targeting
- Not confirmed
- Protocols
- HTTP(S) and SOCKS51
- Sticky sessions
- Not confirmed
SOCKS5 is supported1. Beyond that we couldn’t confirm the targeting options, the sticky-session maximum or whether purchased traffic expires, and we don’t publish what we can’t confirm. If any of these matter to you, get the answers in writing before you pay.
Sourcing, KYC and trust
- Pool claim
- 80M+ (figures conflict across pages)
- Independent test
- None current
- User reviews
- Trustpilot 2.7 from 750 reviews; complaints about refunds, support, geo accuracy and IP quality3
Proxy-Cheap claims a pool of more than 80 million IPs, though the figure varies across its pages, and we found no account of where the IPs come from. Its Trustpilot score is 2.7 from 750 reviews3. Recurring complaints in recent one-star reviews: refunds denied, delayed or turned into store credit; slow support; geolocation that doesn’t match the country ordered; and IPs sold as residential that look like datacenter or business addresses3.
User reviews are a self-selected sample, and an unhappy customer is likelier to post than a satisfied one. But the complaints line up with the gaps in the published terms, and the last point matters most: a “residential” IP that is really a business or datacenter address loses most of the value you were paying for.
Independent performance evidence

- No refund if required KYC fails; 3 days for time-limited plans1
- No current Proxyway review or other recent independent test
- Trustpilot 2.7 from 750 reviews: refund denials, slow support, geo mismatches, “residential” IPs that look like datacenter3
