Webshare review (2026): neat monthly plans, rarely the cheapest
Webshare sells residential traffic in nine tidy monthly sizes with deep targeting and no upfront KYC. It tested well in April 2026, but cheaper options exist at almost every volume.
Webshare’s residential product is self-serve and tidy: nine monthly plans, an API Proxyway rates highly, and no identity check unless something looks wrong1,2. Proxyway’s April 2026 test found requests succeeding more than 99% of the time in every scenario it ran2.
It doesn’t win a use-case pick here. Below a terabyte, Evomi is much cheaper; above one, Rayobyte is cheaper without a subscription. But for buyers who want a predictable monthly bill from a tidy self-serve vendor, it is a sound choice.
Our verdict
A tidy, self-serve monthly subscription. Rarely the cheapest; never the most complicated.
Best for
- A predictable monthly bill with many plan sizes
- City, ZIP and ASN targeting on a predictable monthly bill
- Developers who want a good API and no upfront KYC
Skip if
- You want pay-as-you-go or traffic that rolls over
- You need custom sticky-session durations
- You need weekend support
No use-case pick on the current evidence (see why). Picks are by use case, not a ranking.

As of October 2026, from the Webshare pricing page, checked 17 Oct 2026. US dollars.
| Option | Price | Per GB | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 GB | $3.50 / month | $3.50 | |
| 10 GB | $27.50 / month | $2.75 | |
| 50 GB | $122.50 / month | $2.45 | |
| 100 GB | $225 / month | $2.25 | |
| 250 GB | $500 / month | $2.00 | |
| 1 TB | $1,500 / month | $1.50 | |
| 3 TB | $4,200 / month | $1.40 |
- Monthly plans
- 1 GB $3.50; 10 GB $27.50; 25 GB $65; 50 GB $122.50; 100 GB $225; 250 GB $500; 500 GB $875; 1 TB $1,500; 3 TB $4,2001
- Yearly billing
- About 30% cheaper, per Proxyway2
- Pay-as-you-go
- Not offered on the residential page1
- Refund
- Within 2 days of payment if under 0.1 GB used1
- Free plan
- 10 datacenter proxies only — no residential traffic1
Plans run from 1 GB ($3.50) through 10 GB ($27.50), 100 GB ($225) and 1 TB ($1,500) to 3 TB ($4,200, or $1.40/GB), with five sizes in between1. Proxyway notes yearly billing cuts about 30%2; we couldn’t see yearly residential prices on the plan page when we checked, so confirm before committing.
There is no pay-as-you-go option on the residential page, and whether unused traffic rolls over isn’t stated1. Assume it doesn’t. The refund window is narrow: within two days of payment, and only if you have used less than 0.1 GB1. Webshare’s free plan is ten datacenter proxies, not residential traffic.
How it compares: 100 GB a month costs $225 here, $49 on Evomi’s Core plan, $200 pay-as-you-go at Rayobyte and $275 on Decodo’s plan3,4,5. Webshare is mid-market, not cheap.
Targeting, protocols and sessions
- Targeting
- Country, city, state, ZIP and ASN in 195 countries1
- Protocols
- HTTP(S) and SOCKS5; no UDP2
- Sticky sessions
- “As long as available”; no custom duration2
Targeting is deep for the price — country, state, city, ZIP and ASN across 195 countries1 — and Proxyway praises the API and customisation2. Two limits: sessions last “as long as available” with no way to set a duration, and there is no UDP support2. If you need a guaranteed session length, Decodo lets you set anything up to 24 hours6.
Sourcing, KYC and trust
- Pool
- Claims 80M+ in 195 countries; Proxyway measured 1,745,672 unique IPs2
- KYC
- None unless activity looks suspicious2
- Support
- 24/52
Webshare claims more than 80 million residential IPs in 195 countries; Proxyway measured 1,745,672 unique IPs2. There is no KYC unless activity looks suspicious, though Proxyway mentions users being hit with verification requests they didn’t expect2 — build a little slack into deadlines.
Support runs 24 hours a day on weekdays only (24/5)2.
Independent performance evidence
Latest third-party test: Proxyway, April 2026
Proxyway’s April 2026 test: requests “succeeded over 99% of the time in all scenarios” (99.28% overall), with a 0.86 s global average and 1,745,672 unique IPs2.
Webshare’s 99.28% success and 0.86 s average put it mid-pack in the April 2026 round: behind Decodo and Oxylabs, close to SOAX, and well ahead of IPRoyal, Infatica and Rayobyte on speed2,7,8.

Pros and cons
Pros
Who should pick Webshare — and who shouldn’t
Pick it if
- You want a fixed monthly bill and many plan sizes to choose from.
- You need ZIP or ASN targeting and a good API without an ID check upfront.
- You already buy Webshare’s datacenter proxies and would rather keep one vendor.
Skip it if
- You want the lowest price — Evomi’s $49 plan buys 100 GB3.
- You buy occasionally and want traffic that keeps — PacketStream and IPRoyal never expire.
- You need weekend support or custom session lengths.
Alternatives to Webshare
- Evomi review — its $49 Core plan buys 100 GB — Webshare charges $225 for that.
- Rayobyte review — pay-as-you-go with similar targeting, cheaper above 50 GB.
- Decodo review — faster measured results and 24-hour sessions.
